What's a hybrid course?
A hybrid course is one in which face-to-face instruction is blended with online instruction. In other words, part of the instruction takes place in a face-to-face format and the other coursework(video lectures, assignments, projects, etc.) is accessed online. The face-to-face portion may be in a physical classroom or in real-time via web conferencing platforms such as Zoom or Webex. The hybrid course offers the student some flexibility and decreases physical classroom time. Great for distant students and local students. Also good for the student who needs guided learning.
How does the Hybrid Accelerated Pharmacy Technician Training Course work?
- The student will view weekly assigned video lectures online. He/she will also complete quizzes and offline assignments for grading.
- The student will attend mandatory weekly live(modified) face-to-face meetings via Zoom from the comfort of her home. During these 2 1/2 hour instructor-led meetings, the student will review material and will learn new material. The student will also be able to ask questions during the session. The live face-to-face meetings take place once a week. For the student's convenience, he or she may select a day conference or an evening conference. Check the calendar for the day and time of the live conferences.
- The student will have to meet in a physical location for skills training and practice. These 3.5 to 4 hour training sessions are called Skills Intensives. The student will attend two of these over the course of the 15 weeks. They take place in Durham N.C. and require a fee of $120.
